On Saint Valentine's Day many across the world exchange cards or gifts to show their love to the special people in their lives. Whilst often associated with romantic love we believe it is important that we nurture and celebrate all our important relationships, on Valentine's Day and throughout the year.
Working as activists on issues like female genital mutilation and other human rights issue can be exhausting mentally and emotionally. Spending time with loved ones is an important way to re-balance our lives and cope with stress but is all to often put aside as we rush to tackle the next challenge.
So today let's take some time to celebrate the love we have for our partners, families and friends and to thank them for being part of our lives.
