Groundbreaking anti-FGM project in London schools

Hoda Ali, an experienced sexual health nurse who experienced female genital mutilation (FGM) when she was a young girl is now leading an innovative project. Working with the teaching staff, safeguarding experts, parents and the local community the project team are developing a new approach to including important safeguarding in school lessons. Early feedback on the new approach is very positive and already there is a growing number of schools who want to join the programme.
