Support for Survivors of FGM

The Dahlia Project is a specialist service for survivors of female genital mutilation (FGM) founded by Leyla Hussein

The Dahlia Project is a London based specialist service for women who have undergone FGM, founded by Leyla Hussein and run in partnership with the Manor Gardens Health Advocacy Service.

Leyla is a trained psychotherapist and a multi-award winning campaigner for women's rights and health. Through her own experience of FGM as well as through contact with women also affected by FGM, Leyla recognised the need that these women have for access to high quality psychological support.

The Dahlia Project aims to provide a safe space for women who have experienced FGM. We provide therapeutic support groups in areas of London where there is need so that women can access support easily. We ensure a safe and non-judgemental environment for all women.

Please visit The Dahlia Project website for more information.
