Women's March GQ Women of the Year 2107

I prefer my black jeans, long tunic, scarf around my neck and boots but every once in a while it's okay to be a Glamour Girl. Thank you Christian Siriano for this head-turning dress (he is one of the most talented designers of our times and makes so many hijab friendly dresses) and Islam Allan aka PixzyDust for doing my make-up.

Often it's easier to show the glam than it is to show the tears, the sweat, the defeats, the struggles, the threats but I am still proud that I can power through with the grace of God who has given me so many blessings that I have tried giving back to love all of his creations.

Thank you to Glamour for honoring us at Women's March with the 2017 Women of the Year Award.
