Event — PutinCon: First 360 View on Vladimir Putin in NYC on Mar. 16
NEW YORK (January 3, 2018) — On March 16, the Human Rights Foundation will host the world's first Putin Conference (PutinCon) in the Hell’s Kitchen area of New York City just days before the Russian presidential election.
“PutinCon will be the first event to offer a true 360 of Putin’s character, KGB history, accomplices, policies… and his unraveling,” said HRF Chairman Garry Kasparov. "Vladimir Putin's rule is a dire threat to democracies everywhere. The world would benefit from taking a master class on Putin from the world’s top experts, biographers, and even some survivors of his brutality."
There will be 30 speakers representing six countries featured at PutinCon including Garry Kasparov, Arkady Babchenko, Preet Bharara, William Browder, Dr. James Fallon, Masha Gessen, Luke Harding, Vladimir Kara-Murza, Amy Knight, and Valentyn Nalyvaichenko.
“This gathering of Russian democracy activists, Kremlin experts, Putin biographers, law enforcement professionals, historians, foreign policy leaders, and intelligence analysts will tell the story of how Russia is crippled by totalitarian rule,” said Kasparov.
Session topics will include:
- Putin's Rise to Power
- Putin's Background and His Thinking
- Putin's Wars
- The Killings of Vladimir Putin
- The Richest Man in History and His Accomplices
- The End of Putin's Tyranny
To learn more and apply to attend, those interested should visit the PutinCon website. PutinCon is open only to registered participants.
