From New York to Sydney – Taipei to Toronto, 24 landmarks across the globe will shine blue in solidarity with the human rights movement and the values we work daily to defend: equality, dignity, and justice for all.
New York City’s Empire State Building has lit its spire in blue lights to commemorate Human Rights Day since 2013. This year, 23 buildings across the globe will join the celebration.
But this global expression of solidarity is more than symbolic. It's a statement of purpose and a call to action around the world.
Let's always shine a light on human rights violations wherever they occur.
Use this day to start a conversation with your community about the importance of human rights, and what we can all do to protect them.
Happy Human Rights Day!
