What We Can Learn From Spiders

Scientists have developed an artificial, eco-friendly spider silk.

Spider silk is super strong. What if there was an eco-friendly way for humans to make it?

Reasearchers have developed an artificial silk made from a material called hydrogel. It's a combination of water, silica, and cellulose. The scientists spun fibers out of the hydrogel that are thiner than human hair! These fibers can be assembled at room temperature.

Since these fibers are natural and biodegradable, they could be used in medical procedures. Isn't it amazing what we can learn from nature?!
