Honey Made On Solar Power

Bolton Bees harvests honey on solar power sites.

This married couple makes honey on solar power facilities. Bolton Bees partners with solar companies like Connexus Energy. They build pollinator habitats on the companies sites, then extract the honey that the bees produce. So far they have harvested 3,600 pounds.

Solar honey will be sold in grocery stores. A portion will also be donated to solar garden subscribers, which is good news for bees. Their colonies have declined by 44% between 2015 and 2016, but these solar power sites may offer a solution.
