Ep: 120 - David Sheehan, CBS and NBC broadcaster, interviewer, host, and reporter shares some wild stories about the Rat Pack, Marilyn Monroe, JFK, and the biggest stars of the last few decades and today.
Whiskey Politics - David Sheehan: JFK and The Rat Pack to Julia Roberts
Sheehan's storied news career spans 5 decades and at 80, Sheehan doesn't hold back his opinions about some of our favorite entertainers. Of course, we wanted David's opinion on how Hollywood has changed, both politically and culturally, both through the lens of history. David just released his latest special And The Winners Are (40 stars over 50 years) on YouTube. Proceeds from the production are being donated to three very noble causes; St. Judes Children's Research Hospital, Children of the Night and the Los Angeles Mission.
Starting in 1960's David started at UPI, and started on television in 1970 on CBS, Sheehan was a reviewer and interviewer covering movies and television on a daily local newscast. He went on to host three annual national specials: Summer Movie Magic, Holiday Movie Magic, and Academy Awards Movie Magic. Sheehan moved to NBC from 1984-1994, and finished up his 34 years of daily newscasting back at CBS from 1994-2004.
