Voyager 2 Reaches Interstellar Space

After a 41 year journey Voyager 2 exits the heliosphere to interstellar space

" NASA’s Voyager 2 probe has exited the heliosphere into interstellar space. Mission scientists determined the probe crossed the outer edge of the heliosphere on 5 November 2018. This boundary, called the heliopause, is where the tenuous, hot solar wind meets the cold, dense interstellar medium. Edward Stone, Voyager Project Scientist, and Suzanne Dodd, Voyager Project Manager, present the mission."
